About Us
Q is a European defence-tech company pioneering the Internet of Defence with modular, scalable, and interoperable sensor and intelligence solutions. Our orchestration layer generates actionable situational awareness and enables the rapid, scalable, and wide-area integration of capabilities to respond to evolving threats — delivering immediate operational value for armed forces, security agencies, and actors in the critical-infrastructure domain.
Our products are designed to integrate seamlessly into existing defence infrastructures, offering fast data integration and data fusion capabilities to enable AI-enhanced analytics and situational awareness. It is built on a platform agnostic architecture, unlocking true interoperability.
We are growing fast in a very dynamic environment and are looking for someone with exceptional hands-on mentality and execution power to help us grow further.
As Product Marketing Manager – HW/SW you are directly reporting to the C-level and will be an essential part of our journey, with plenty of opportunities for your own personal and professional growth.
Your Responsibilities
Own positioning, messaging and go-to-market for our integrated hardware and software portfolio across Bundeswehr, NATO, and Ukraine customers. You are the connective tissue between engineering, BD/capture, and operators in uniform — turning technical capability into narratives that win programs.
Positioning & messaging
- Translate specs (SWaP-C, STANAG compliance, modular open architectures) into mission-effect narratives for end customers, and into different narratives for primes (architecture fit, risk reduction, joint pursuit value) and SME partners (integration ease, reach, time-to-deployment)
Launch & GTM
- Lead launches across hardware revisions and software releases
- Map products to programs of record across Heer, Marine, Luftwaffe, CIR, SKB, and allied equivalents
Enablement
- Produce capability briefs, datasheets, white papers, and proposal-grade content in German and English
- Equip BD with battle cards and RFP response libraries
Customer insight
- Engage operators, program offices, and research institutes (Fraunhofer FKIE/FHR/IOSB, WTD, NATO STO)
- Build feedback loops with Ukrainian end users — frontline lessons are first-class input to messaging and roadmap
Partner & ecosystem marketing
- Build the story we tell large primes and system integrators (joint pursuits, teaming, sub-system fit) and the story we tell SME sensor and platform partners integrating via Hydris
- Develop partner-facing collateral, joint case studies, and co-marketing motions where appropriate
Partnership with Product
- Work directly with the Head of Product on positioning and roadmap inputs as a true collaboration, not a hand-off
Trade shows
- Represent us at Eurosatory, ITEC, AFCEA Bonn, Berlin Security Conference, DSEI, and Ukrainian industry events
Coordinate
- Manage external service providers, freelancers, and agencies to develop and successfully deliver tailored, high-impact marketing products
Your Profile
- Completed university degree or related experience in Marketing/Communications, Software Engineering, Data Science, International Security, Politics, Industrial Engineering or Business Administration
- 5+ years experience in product marketing, technical marketing, BD/capture, or PM — with both hardware and software in your portfolio
- Comfortable in direct defense, national security, or intelligence sector experience (vendor, prime, government, uniformed, or consultant)
- Working fluency with German and/or NATO acquisition: CPM, BAAINBw, STANAGs, EU defence procurement directives
- Strong technical aptitude — credible with engineers without a translator
- Decision-maker: you gather input, synthesize, commit, and move forward
- High ownership, independence, and bias for action, combining attention to detail with pragmatism and the willingness to “get hands dirty” rather than delegating execution
- EU citizenship or right to work in Germany; eligible for SÜG Ü2
- Experience working with early-stage or rapidly evolving products are welcomed
- Excellent German, English and MS Excel skills, both written and spoken; French, Polish or Ukrainian is a big plus
Nice to have
- Prior Bundeswehr or allied service
- Prior experience in B2B partner or channel marketing in a defense or deep-tech context (working with primes, integrators, or sensor/platform OEMs)
- Familiarity with NATO and European modular open architecture standards (and U.S. counterparts MOSA/SOSA/FACE for transatlantic work)
- Domain experience in ISR, EW, autonomy, tactical edge compute, or cyber
- Exposure to EDF, PESCO, or Brave1 / Ukrainian MoD procurement
We Offer
- Be a part of our growth story and help build us a leading technology company
- A varied and responsible role in a dynamic company
- Flat hierarchies and a pleasant working environment
- Opportunities for professional and personal development
- Flexible working hours and remote work options
- Attractive salary and additional benefits
